Our Background
The full story of becoming Victorious
Victorious Injury and Sports Clinic is the brainchild of myself, Vickie-Louise Hunter. I wanted to create a clinic that was accessible to all people in all aspects of life, not just athletes, which is why I've named my clinic Victorious Injury and Sports Clinic: I specialise in injuries: from their prevention to treatment and rehabilitation.
I have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Sports Therapy (Hons) and a HND in Sports Therapy, First Aid for Pitch-side, Resuscitation and Defibrillation, Kinesio Taping Qualifications, Taping for Sport, Dry Cupping Certification, Oncology Massage Certification, Cryotherapy Certification and Dry Needling Certification.
I completed a number of years of work experience and working for private clinics before founding Victorious. Although Scottish, I was raised in Canada between the ages of 1 and 17 and have dual nationality, so I have quite the quirky accent! Outside of work, I love socialising with friends either talking about movies, or playing board games, climbing, going to the beach, reading, BBQ's and gardening as well as a slight addition to Tiktok.
Where the business is/ directions!
We have moved to (hopefully) our new forever home on Low Glencairn Street just this month. The new clinic is *amazing*. We have good size treatment rooms and a huge reception. We are now on the main road between Glencairn Suites / Maggies, across from Lidl on one side. We have Screwfix on the other side opposite HOT tanning salon.; andwiched between Hustle and Kolective hair salons.
Who are our clients?
Victorious deal with people from all walks of life, and all ages. You don't need to be an athlete, or in the least bit sporty to come and visit us. Everyone is welcome - anyone with any kind of niggle or pain to see if we can help. Full disclosures and insurance are in place for working with under age and vunerable people.
I have worked with teams including Cartha Queens Park Rugby, Kilmarnock Football Club Academy, American Football teams (Glasgow Tigers, East Kilbride Pirates and Inverclyde Goliaths), as well as working with Olympic athletes, common wealth athletes and British Team athletes, Olympic weightlifting club KAWOL (Kilmarnock Amateur Weightlifters and Olympic Weightlifters) Greenock Wanderers Women's Rugby Team. This year I have the pleasure of continuing to work with Beith Juniors FC.
I've worked at Murrayfield, Football Masters, Triathalons, Academy Teams as well as local grassroots teams, as well as working with people from all walks of life that have no sporting backgrounds.
Growth
This year I'm continuing to finish my Pilates instructor course with a world class Pilates school. Work placements in conjunction with City of Glasgow College for HND students, as well as with Sunderland University students will continue this year as well as alongside Physiotherapy students this coming year and have plans to incorporate a Physiotherapist within the business in the next few years.
